Patrick Anthony Jansen - I
Olympic gold medallist Pat Jansen went to boarding school at St. Joseph's, Bangalore, from 1932 - 1938. He made the school first XI in hockey, cricket and football.

An year after school, Pat joined the Calcutta Port Commissioners. Pat played hockey for his team, winning the Division I title and Beighton Cup many times.

Pat captained the Bengal team during the war years. In 1948, Pat Jansen was selected for the Indian Olympic team which went on to win the hockey gold, beating Britain in the final. Pat was one of the top goal scorers in the London Olympics.

Pat later joined Union Carbide International, and stopped playing competitve hockey. In 1963, Pat and his family migrated to Perth, Australia.
