Pakistan in the Final

Though Pakistan won the semi-final 3-2, the day belonged to the Britons, who gave a rousing display.

On its way to the final, India scored 39 goals from 4 matches. Not one goal was scored against us, a feat achieved previously only by the 1928 Indian Olympians.

Against this, Pakistan had an unimpressive record of 10 goals for and 3 against.

akistan managed to scramble home 2-0 against Belgium in their first match. They then defeated New Zealand 5-1, their best win of the tournament. They were lucky to settle for a scoreless draw with Germany.

In the semi-final, Britain troubled them no end. Though Pakistan won 3-2, the day belonged to the Britons, who gave a rousing display. There were long periods of play when they swarmed all over the Pakistan citadel. However their finishing was poor, which led to their eventual defeat.
